"Discobolus"

the sculpted marble athlete throwing a discus, is one of the most famous works of art from ancient Greece

The piece bronze 5th century copy used to grace the country mansion 'Amerfoot' in Potten End Hemel Hempstead, it is belived to have orginated from Africa, where its owner Mr Cohen had connections with. He used to be situated in Bank Court but now resides in the Water Gardens, the artist is unknown.
